Gold mining company «Majskoje» LLC is one of the biggest gold minefields in Russia. It’s located in the north-east of Russia, in Chukotka, in 180 kilometers away from the port Pevek.
More than 90% of ore is refractory one and demands pretreatment for the tolerant recovery ratio achieving. In particular the ore refractory caused many failures within the gold minefield reclamation before it’s opening.
Starting from November, 16, 2009 the gold minefield «Majskoje» has belonged to the JSC «Polymetal». Therefore «Majskoje» is considered by JSC «Polimetall» as one of the sources for refractory concentrate processing at the Amur hydrometallurgical complex in the Khabarovsk territory. Thereby the above mentioned Concentrate processing realizes fundamental strategic idea of the JSC «Polymetal» to create such kind of Center for gold-bearing refractory concentrate processing from different Russian Far East minefields in Amursk.
It’s supposed to make marine transportation from «Majskoje» to Amursk during navigation from port Pevek to Far East ports with the following railway transportation to Amursk.
All elaborated systems equipment is planned to place in premises of the main housing, in the northern «ABK» camp, also in the non-specialized premises of washhouse, mine and storage facilities.
As an element of manufacturing and ore-dressing-processing enterprise (ODPE) building modernization the decision of integrated communication system implementation was made. Including:
- the administrative-household complex;
- the main housing of ODPE;
- the ore-pretreatment housing;
- the main laboratory;
- the modular coal boiler-house;
- the fuels and lubricants warehouse;
- the blasting powder warehouse;
- the mining equipment repair section;
- the car parking;
- the check-point;
The first step of the project modernization was the underground radiocommunication system engineering based on the complex «Talnah », transmitters «Tiat», controllers «Zetron’ and mobile radio stations «Entel».
To create a radio-coverage in mine-opening zones and to organize data link channels the radiant cable SLYWV-75-10 type is used.
The following functions are accomplished by this system:
- broadcasting call for the public addressing;
- individual calls;
- group calls;
- prioritized calls;
- emergency calls;
- in-and-out coming calls from the PABX;
- calls priority;
- calling-line (CPN) indication in radio-terminals;
- on-line radio communication as «subscriber-subscriber» between the people who work underground;
- channels module-extension possibility.
The base station consists of 3 voice channels and 1 allocated channel. The allocated channel allows to manage emergency calls without any dependence of voice channels occupancy. In case of allocated channel’s break its functions are automatically transmitted onto the one of voice channels. The quantity of underground subscribers with the possibility to connect to the PBX is 60. The mine dispatcher has stationary station directly connected to the radio-tract. The underground radiant cable longitude is 4400 meters.
Therefore the adjusted system creates a radio-coverage overall mine-opening zones where the coaxial cable (leaky feeder) was laid on. So the radio-coverage zone is not less than 20 meters from the radiant cable.
The system consists of 3 main components:
- Basic equipment
- Subscriber equipment
- Underground leaky feeder system
- transmitters «ТВ7100»;
- trunk-controllers «М827» with in-built telephone interfaces;
- basic controller with:
- uniting-distribution block «ОРБ-1».
- cassette charger «КП-220/12-60».
- trunk-mobile radio-stations Entel HT726T;
- fixed radio-station Motorola GM660.
Underground leaky feeder system:
- coaxial cable SLYWV-75-10 type;
- launch amplifier «LU-1А-75»
Results of the underground radiocommunication system engineering:
Every subscriber (out of 60) has the possibility to call to the other subscriber using individual 3-digital number.
All active calls immediately stop while emergency call comes in and it should be mentioned that every subscriber hears the emergency call initiator.
All radio-terminals are connected to the PBX with the possibility to readdress the call to an external subscriber.
Every subscriber of the radio network is accessible for the PBX subscribers as on the territory of mine so on the ABK camp territory.
